There will be a public meeting to discuss potential rezoning of the land located to the east and to the south of the intersection of New Bern A venue and Hawkins Street, with addresses of 1902 New Bern Avenue, 1900 Hawkins Street, and 2000 Hawkins Street.

This meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room of the Roberts Community Center located at 1300 East Martin Street Raleigh, NC, 27610. It is being hosted by Smith, Anderson Blount, Dorsett, Mitchell & Jernigan, L.L.P.

The Property is currently zoned Residential-IO (“R-1 0”). At the Neighborhood Meeting, we will discuss the potential to rezone the Property to Residential Mixed Use with a maximum height of five stories (“RX-5”).

The Property currently has approximately 66 residential units in 32 buildings in a development known as Duplex Village. At the Neighborhood Meeting, we will also discuss potential zoning conditions for the redevelopment of the Property, including one that would provide that any new residential development on the Property would provide more affordable housing units than are currently on the Property.

We have scheduled a meeting with surrounding property owners to discuss the potential rezoning on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Multipurpose Room of the Roberts Community Center located at 1300 East Martin Street Raleigh, NC, 27610.
